Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984 is an actor and comedian recognized for her witty humor. April Ludgate plays her on Parks and Recreation. After doing improv and sketch comedy in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza made her web series debut by presenting The Jeannie Tate Show. In her later career she went on to star in Judd Apatow Funny People, Scott Pilgrim and the World. Her birth should be celebrated today. Aubrey Christina Plaza is the daughter Bernadette Plaza of an attorney and David Plaza, a financial expert. She was born in Wilmington Delaware. The father of her is Puerto Rican while her mother is Irish as well as English. Plaza is a graduate from an Catholic All-Girls' School in 2002. She graduated in 2006 from the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. As a senior in high school, Plaza was involved as a part of the Wilmington Drama League shows and served as president of the student council. Plaza suffered a stroke in 2004 when she was enrolled at college. The stroke caused her to develop expressive aphasia. She also experienced briefly paralysis. The patient is now fully recovered. Plaza began performing sketch and improv in the New York City's Upright Citizens Brigade Theater back in 2004. The Laugh Factory as well The Improv are two venues located in N.Y.C. where Plaza performed stand-up comedy. Plaza starred in E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street as Robin Gibney, The Jeannie Tate Show with Ben Schwartz and also the premiere Terrible Decisions episode. She played the Princess, the satirical Sci-Fi character on CollegeHumor Troopers. Plaza made her saxophone debut in the film Cassorla's Bona Fide in 2014. The show's 12th season saw her made a successful comeback in the part. In the following year, it was revealed that Plaza would appear in the comedy indie An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
